We hold the tally back until enough California voters have ranked their ballots that the result reflects a real cross-section. Only ballots we detect as cast from California count toward the threshold. Share the link with friends who care about the race — every ranked ballot moves the counter.

Method: instant-runoff (single transferable vote, one seat). The lowest-ranked candidate is eliminated each round and their ballots move to each voter's next available choice; ballots with no remaining ranked candidate are set aside as exhausted. The public tally counts only ballots we detect as cast from California and is hidden until 1,000 have been cast. Independent straw poll — not affiliated with any government body or campaign.
